Sentiments such as “strong sales slumps expected” or “the telecommunications industry is facing dark days” are all too common when it comes to discussions within the telecom industry. Although the traditional telecom market in Europe is currently experiencing a minor growth surge – not least due to market consolidation and an increasing willingness to pay for higher speeds and more reliable internet connections – telcos will have to prepare themselves for the huge challenges that lie ahead.
